Immigration Emergency Fund
Our Presbytery's Immigration Task Force and the Shepherding Council invite congregations to contribute to a fund that will provide financial support for the legal and other costs of families in our congregations who are impacted by immigration actions or deportation. Recipients would be referred by a congregation in our presbytery and must have a relationship with the congregation. Any financial assistance will be approved by the Moderator team. Individual or church contributions can be sent via check made out to the "Presbytery of Long Island" with "immigration emergency fund" in the memo and sent to Presbytery of Long Island, 109 Udall Rd., West Islip, NY 11795.
Food Pantries in Our Presbytery
As food pantries are working to meet increased need in their communities, we ask churches in our presbytery to consider offering additional support to congregations that host food pantries. Click here for a list of pantries in our presbytery.
